Don Draper portrait.

Mad Men, portrait of Don Draper
Conceptual portrait of hard drinking chain smoking Don Draper, 60's advertising executive with a shady past.
Madmen is as addictive as nicotine; a slick TV show about advertising agency in New York in the 60s. The lives of the characters are played out against the political changes that took place in that decade. Men are suffering from the hangover from the second world war and Korea, and the women are struggling to fight their corner in a shifting environment. All great stuff.
Who is Don Draper? Dick or Don? Slick as hell, but with a car crash of a private life, he's lost his wife, his biggest client and it looks like his past is catching up with him.
The concept behind this illustration is the loss of Don's main client, Lucky Strike, hence the stubbed out cigarette. It also symbolizes his PR campaign to try to prevent the company from losing all its clients.
